Good morning to myself

The approach:

Living with intent may imply many things. I have been pondering this since the inception of The Measurement Problem blog. What is the best approach to self-evaluation and living with intent. How will I structure these experiments? How will I be able to prove anything? Being that I am not a scientist I decided to do some research into scientific method and philosophy.

“Experimental philosophy, called x-phi for short, is a new philosophical movement that supplements the traditional tools of analytic philosophy with the scientific methods of cognitive science. So experimental philosophers go out and run systematic experiments aimed at understanding how people ordinarily think about the issues at the foundation of the philosophical discussion.” – From Reddit

Here is an extract from ResearchGate that outlines controversy in the field.

I digress. First, I will be documenting my everyday life. Just a brief outline of what I am doing. By bringing my actions into written form I will naturally become more conscious of productivity, thoughts, and motivation. These logs will be posted in the daily record section of the website. I believe that awareness and documentation specifically, will bring about changes to my life that will undoubtedly alter the trajectory of my existence. Secondly, I have several projects in mind that would be considered difficult if not impossible to complete given lack of time, funding, or knowledge. Select projects may be used as examples, and I will list these under the projects section of the website in the weeks and months to come.

Refining this process in an attempt to maintain an objective approach will be of the utmost importance, but may prove futile. The primary obstacle being that I am not only the subject but the experimenter. What could be reasoned objective to me, must be considered subjective as I am the subject. As humans we search for meaning in everything, but I wish to show irrefutable evidence in my claim that the mind creates the world. That, at the moment of measurement reality shifts and alters existence. I do not want to make false claims and I do not want to mislead. I simply want to examine the possibility that the relationship of the observer is more essential and more malleable than most suspect. My approach in documentation is amateur but I will make improvements along the way. More research is necessary, I have ordered several books on the topic and hope to report back with an improved system of procedure. Below are other discussions on the topic. Have a good Sunday.
